Had my first pre-natal massage. It was like a back rub. She said she could go deeper once the weeks progressed. This week I was really feelin' the tightness in my pants...bought me some maternity clothes. People couldn't really tell yet but I was having a hard time getting dressed in the mornings.
Spent this week in New Orleans for work. My job there was to walk around the city, get a feel, taste the food, and look for venues... and boy did I do that. I walked about 8 miles a day (sidenote: figured out that running now a days hurts my back so I will stick with walking & machines) and I ate all of the food they wanted me to taste! My goal is to only gain 1 lb each week and this week I gained 1.5...not too shabby for all of the shrimp & grits I ate! PS - not sure if it was because I was so active this week but I had more energy.
Spent this week at The Walk! Got to sport my tankini and pig out on the junk food my high schoolers brought! I did pretty good at not going over board and making sure to get veggies and fruit in there too! At the end of the week we went into the doctor for a sex check only and then had a gender reveal gathering!
We told the doctor we didn't want to know what we were having just yet so she had us leave the room while she called Wendi and told her. So after the appointment, we had about 40 of our closest family and friends come to the big grassy area at my work so we could all find out the gender together. We asked each of them to wear either blue or pink depending on what they thought it was... out of the 40, there were about 6 pink shirts! Steven and I were both in blue. I had given Wendi blue and pink silly string that morning so she switched the tops around and passed out the correct ones to everyone. On the count of 3 everyone sprayed Steven and I!
IT WAS BLUE!
Steven and I were thrilled and we are so excited for a little Castardi boy! I am okay with a little Steven running around!
Here some of the pics and even the video from this awesome day:
