31 Weeks
This picstitch is from the first ever KSU Football Homecoming Game! It was awesome! Steven and I are both alumni so we went for a little throwback tailgating with some fraternity brothers and sorority sisters and then headed over to the game! They played at the brand new Fifth Third Bank Stadium and KSU won... it was a scrimmage! :) Still... we got to see Scrappy (pictured above holding Zaiah), Sturgis (the real life KSU Owl mascot), the dance team, cheerleaders, fans, and football team all for the first time together at a game... that is history!
Here is how week 31 went for me in pregnancy life:
I was always hot. I was sweating when people were cold...that is not like me at all so it had to be the hormones. I remember one day even getting an ice pack and placing it on my body just to cool off.
I WANTED MILK! Luckily for me, my favorite thing to eat is still cereal so it made sense to eat a lot of it this week to get my milk craving. Here's a story for ya... I decided I wanted some chocolate milk before InsideOut on Sunday so we stopped at our go-to Three Way gas station on our way and I could not find their milk section anywhere... I settled for a Yoo-hoo but after pulling it out of the frig realized it was room temperature... OH HECK NAH! I was not about to waste my perfectly definite craving on room temp Yoo-hoo. (come to find out their coolers were broken... hence why I couldn't find the milk section... it was probably all spoiled. Why the Yoo-hoo was still okay to sell I have no idea!) So I made Steven drive out of the way to another gas station just to get some ice cold delicious chocolate milk! YUM! (my hubby is the best!)
Dislike vinegar. Don't really like the taste of it right now and definitely not the smell. Wendi eats it everyday on her salad and when she is done with the bowl, I make her put it far away from our desks. She knows when I look at her with my nose turned up what that means!
Sleep is getting uncomfortable. Not enough pillows, too many pillows, too hot, too cold, Lloyd is being a PAIN in my royal butt (literally a pain... just not in my butt haha. He doesn't like to be smushed when I lay on my sides), my hips hurt from too much side laying, my ears hurt from not switching sides often enough, I'm antsy, I'm thinking too much... the list goes on!
Nesting like CRAZY! Both at home and work but mainly at home. At work I just find myself tidying up my space and knocking work out in spurts. At home I am organizing and cleaning everything. The most random one was I told Steven I was going to take a shower and when I didn't go back downstairs for awhile he came up and I was cleaning out my nightstand... cause what new born baby is going to function with a messy nightstand! :) My shopping these days have been organizing buckets, baskets, containers, and even bookshelves! As I am doing these things though I am realizing that I am glad I am doing them now and could have even started earlier... my belly gets in the way a lot and I find myself stuck at times because I can't lift. I also feel very blessed to be able to have the means to be able to do all that we are doing for his arrival and the physical ability to do it as well!
- Booti knows. He follows me everywhere and is always watching me. Ahhh, he is going to make such a great big brother and watch dog. I know he is going to be so gentle and love Zaiah just as much as we do! Nora... she is still in her own little world without a care! She watches Booti a lot but with a look on her face like "what are you doing?? just chill!" haha
- Up 23.5 lbs - crazy how much limiting sugar can help in the weight department... only .5 lbs from last week? That can't be right? Even in the third trimester? I'll take it!
- Steven and I celebrated 4 years of blissful marriage! Our last anniversary before kids! He will always be my #1! On our anniversary he got me a beautiful ring that was from him and Zaiah... it wasn't an anniversary gift (because we decided not to get each other anything) but it was a new-mommy-to-be gift! He wanted to combine it with a "push present" but I think that is the dumbest gift ever and I wouldn't accept it... I don't need a gift for pushing out our baby... that is my right of passage as a woman! But I'll take a "mom-to-be" gift especially when it is a beautiful silver and turquoise Pandora ring that is Zaiah's birthstone and can be stacked with other rings down the road! I absolutely love it! He did good! He knows me so well to pick out something casual, unique, yet elegant. (every kiss doesn't always belong to Kay... right babe?) :)
