Zaiah's Sweet Nursery

Pictures don't do it justice but had to take them before Zaiah comes and it looks completely different with toys and clothes scattered all about! We decided not to go with a theme of any sort... we just picked out things we liked and made it practical and it works!

The glider! Can't wait to rock our sweet boy in this!

 The Crib!
I made the piece above it with the theme song to Parenthood,
"Forever Young" by Bob Dylan!

They say it's good for the baby to see pictures of family in his room so Booti & Nora agreed to a photoshoot! :) Left a frame for a newborn pic in there too!

 Changing table!

 Entrance to his room!

The clothes! Yup, he is set for awhile!

His decor, hats, sports memorabilia, books, stuffed animals and blankets!

 The bath tub is ready!

His cute shower curtain! That is a little robe hanging up too!

Bathroom decor! Can't wait to get a pic of Zaiah like this to add to it!

This a cute embroidery piece that someone made for Steven when he was born!

39 Weeks

39 Weeks

Laughter is my emotion during pregnancy... forget crying, my hormones start raging and I am uncontrollably laughing. You would think that when people lay hands on a pregnant belly and pray over them that they would cry because it's so beautiful but not this girl.... I laughed... the.whole.time.

Had 3 vacation days I would lose so I decided to use those up Dec 10, 11 & 12. It was so nice to sleep in and get some stuff done around the house! Got all my Christmas shopping and wrapping done too!

I feel great but feel like this is not normal... I should feel miserable (according to movies) but i'm good... this better not mean that he is comfortable in there... I still want to meet him soon!

People say your appetite usually suppresses the last couple of weeks... not mine! Still chowin' down on bowls of cereal...  yes, bowls.

Craving sugar! Of course! LOTS OF IT TOO!

His movements are crazy... I can see every single one of them so clear cause he has no room!

Gained 32.5 lbs so far (my goal was to keep it at or under 35 so as long as I don't gain more than 2.5 in the last week then i'm golden!) Still not dilated at all. Doctor said I am mid range effaced so that is little progress in the right direction!

9 Month Photoshoot

9 Months

(by the 9th month it was hard to come up with different poses and faces so Steven helped me by telling me to act like different things...see below!)

(this is me giving birth)

(I just peed my pants... not literally, just something he wanted me to act out...although it totally could have happened with how many times I really did do that throughout the pregnancy!)

(this is when Steven tried to prop the sign up on the wood in the back and it fell and broke... good thing this was the last photoshoot!)

(looks like he better come cause our prop is a goner!)

38 Weeks and Cankles Round 2

38 Weeks

This whole waiting thing is probably the hardest part. I try and not think about him coming any minute now but it's literally all I think all day long!

This week I got the hospital bags packed and the carseat installed and inspected! We are ready and set for go time... whenever that may be! :)

This week I still have the same symptoms.... cramping, braxton hicks, lightening crotch, cankles, hips hurt when I sleep. I thought for sure that Zaiah would come early but after the doctor appointment this week and Little telling me that I am not even dilating... I am thinking maybe he will be on time. I hope he is not late... I would hate to see my due date come and go. Leslie had her due date this week (12/3) but is still waiting... I think Cason is just wanting to wait for Zaiah to be fully ready so they can make their grand appearance together!

Leslie and Brandon decided to give Scalini's a go so we decided to join them! Steven didn't want me to get the eggplant but when we found out that if he is born within 48 hours then we get a $25 gift card, a Scalini's onesie and his picture in the Hall of Fame... we couldn't pass up that chance for making some history! Neither of us went into labor within that time frame... maybe next time Scalini's!

So I thought the last picture I took of my ankles were bad until this week... they are out of control! Good thing is they don't hurt... I don't even remember until I look down and see them. This is what they look like (the right foot is worse - the doctor said it is because the baby is probably shifted more to the right of my belly putting more pressure on that side.)

37 Weeks

37 Weeks

Ah so much to be thankful for! I was extra thankful that our little guy made it full term! What a great milestone for our whole family!

Cramping more this week... front and back now. Definitely doesn't make me miss my periods!
Braxton Hicks are really kickin' in! I feel them the most when I walk.
Doc visit went well this week: still head down, measuring on time, blood pressure is normal, and doc says I do this pregnant thing well! :)

Let the waiting game begin!
